PVAMU
A Learning Laboratory
The starting point for our broader plan to reforest creeks in the Brazos Basin is a 90-acre site just off the PVAMU campus that is currently ecologically degraded. In collaboration with our project partners, we plan to revitalize the site, including transforming 22 of its acres into a forested wetland.
This landscape is being reimagined as a field-based learning laboratory where students can directly engage with processes of ecology, hydrology, and land stewardship through observation, research, and hands-on learning.
